The Crypt

The Crypt was a Tech & Finance Newsletter which used AI to summarize news articles for our subscribers. The Crypt was, in a way, the first version of what The Techonomics would become.
In a lot of ways, The Crypt is similar to The Techonomics… So I won't go too much into it. However, This project was built entirely with Python. which allowed me to work with a multitude of different NLP (Natural Language Processing) algorithms.
NLP Algorithms Used
Big shoutout to SUMY; a wonderful library which hosts all of these algorithms.
There has been a lot of progress within the NLP space and these algorithms do relatively well when you realize how difficult of a task this is. However, from my experience, you can not use each of these algorithms independently without some editing or filter process.
I ended up just utilizing all of the algorithms, then after reading each summary, I will choose which version was the best.
